EDWARD STANLEY (STANO) BUSTOS
Stano could be seen many places in the community, Red Lodge Mountain at most Silver Run ski races lending his expertise and talent to the race teams marking courses or whatever needed to be done. At local concerts you would see Stano on the setup crew helping out as usual or on the golf course you could find him helping with tournaments or pleasure golfing whenever he had the chance. The one place where Stano was most at home was on stage. Stano had a great passion for his music he worked for several years playing music with The Hound Dogs from Outer Space as front man and percussionist. His commitment to music was a testament to how Stano lived his life. He was the first one to the gig and the last one to leave, he had many loyal fans who loved him and he had a magnetic personality that drew people in. No matter where he traveled someone always knew Stano and if they didn’t they would before he left. They say it takes a community to raise a child and even though Stano didn’t have children of his own he certainly helped the Red Lodge community raise its children. He loved helping and guiding the area youth, and they loved him. Stano is survived by his parents Edward and Celine Bustos of Albuquerque New Mexico, a sister Sarah Preusse of Dallas Texas and hundreds of friends and fellow musicians from the Red Lodge community who loved him and will miss him. Services will be held at the Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Red Lodge November 17 at 1:00 pm. Olcott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. On December 7th a “Musical Tribute to Stano Bustos” will be held at the Beug Indoor Arena and Event Center West of Red Lodge on Highway 78.
