8.4 or 4.2 Mile Race
The Beartooth Run began in 1968 with a small group of friends and continues today as one of the oldest, most challenging races in the state. The course winds up the Beartooth Pass through alpine, mountain scenery, starting at and elevation of nearly 7,000 feet and finishes at the scenic outlook of Vista Point at over 9,000 feet. The highway creates a beautiful backdrop for this one of a kind, race and is often described as "the most beautiful roadway in America," continuing on to the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

at the awards ceremony.
START TIME
9:00 am, 14 miles south of Red Lodge on Highway 212
Mass start for both 8.4 and 4.2 mile race
PARKING
Parking is available along the Highway and in the adjacent Parkside Campground parking lot. Parking is very limited at both the 4.2 and 8.4 finish areas. Bus transportation is encouraged. A bus is available at the start for race spectators and racers may put additional clothing on the buses for pick-up at the finishes. Buses will return to the start/registration area.
Water stations will be available every mile on the course and at both finish areas.
Restrooms will be available at the start/registration and at both finish areas.
AWARDS
Awards ceremony to follow the race at 12 noon at the Red Lodge Civic Center, 215 W. 14th, Red Lodge. Refreshments provided. All participants must be present at the Awards Ceremony to win prizes.

Beartooth Burn - ONLINE REGISTRATION
This road race utilizes the formidable elevations and unparalleled splendor of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. Racers begin in the mountain town of Red Lodge, at an elevation of 5,555 feet and continue up the switchbacks of the Beartooth Pass, through some of the most beautiful alpine scenery in the lower 48 states, finishing at the Vista Point scenic outlook, at an elevation over 9,200 feet. The highway sets the course for this demanding, uphill competition and is often described as "the most beautiful roadway in America," continuing on to the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park.

START TIME
9:00 am (Racers will be given individual start times at registration), Silver Strike parking lot, 600 N. Broadway (Hwy 212, south of RL Chamber of Commerce)

Awards will be held at 1 pm at Sam's Tap Room, Red Lodge Ales, 417 N. Broadway, Red Lodge (1 block south of the start area) Results will be posted at the awards ceremony.
